Otoplasty
Ear position or shape irregularity can often cause insecurity and discomfort with your appearance. An otoplasty addresses issues with the size, shape, protrusion, and/or position of one or both ears.
What concerns can an otoplasty correct?
An otoplasty performed by an experienced plastic surgeon like Dr. Pellegrino will:- Balance the appearance of large or protruding ears

- Remove any sagging or drooping earlobe skin due to aging
An overview of an otoplasty
At your initial consultation, Dr. Pellegrino will give you a comprehensive explanation of what to expect from your otoplasty. He will carefully evaluate your desired outcome, and make recommendations to ensure that all your concerns are alleviated. This procedure will leave a scar behind the ear, although it will fade over time and is nearly imperceptible due to its location.
What to expect during recovery
There is very little discomfort and downtime associated with otoplasty surgery. Patients will be required to wear a head dressing for one to two days following the procedure. After that period has passed, they will change to a lighter headband that should be worn over the ears at all times for a week and then at night only for several weeks.
Is an otoplasty right for you?
